Whitehaven Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Mar-2015
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour with pale green hues on rim. The nose is fresh, elegant and tightly bound with vibrant pungent passionfruit and mineral aromas at the core, unfolding white floral and gooseberry notes with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, light, but sweetly luscious fruit flavours of gooseberries, cut-grass and passionfruit feature on the palate. The mouthfeel is well-balanced by a fine textural thread along with refreshing, mouthwatering acidity. The flavours are accessible and flow easily, unveiling aromatic floral elements, leading to a soft, gentle finish. This is an accessible, easy flowing and balanced Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit picked in cool evening conditions and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.3 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Mar 2015 RRP $22.95
