Whitehaven Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Oct-2012
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on edge. The nose is full and evenly expressed with a tightly bound core that gently unfolds revealing classical English gooseberry aromas with passionfruit and minerally notes. Dry to taste, subtly luscious flavours of ripe gooseberries, tropical fruits and limes build to become mouthfilling. The palate is soft texture and smooth flowing, with bright piquant acidity emerging to carry the flavours with drive to a rich, lingering finish. This is a classical Sauvignon Blanc that softly builds in richness. Serve with seafood, vegetables and poultry over the next 2+ years. Sauvignon Blanc fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.0 g/L rs. 18.0+/20 Oct 2012 RRP $22.90
