West Brook Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Nov-2015
Bright, pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is full with soft, fresh and lifted aromas of gooseberries, ripe tropical fruits, white florals, limes and capsicums, revealing passionfruit and mineral nuances in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is crisp, refreshing and dry-textured, carrying bright fruit flavours of gooseberries, limes, tropical fruits and minerals. This has a good core which flows with some firmness and grip, and the mouthfeel is lively and energetic with zesty acidity providing good tension. The wine leads to a moderately long, dry, fine-textured finish. This is a fresh, tight, crisp and dry Sauvignon Blanc with mouthwatering textures. Serve with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Wiffen’ vineyards in the Southern Valleys, fermented in stainless-steel with 14% in seasoned French oak barriques to 12.6% alc. 18.0-/20 Nov 2015 RRP $20.00
