Ward Valley ‘Triple Block’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Sep-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, lighter on the edge. The bouquet is firmly concentrated with intense and penetrating aromas of cooler-spectrum cut grass and nettle-like fruit, unfolding passionfruit, fresh herbs and a suggestion of green beans. Dry to taste nd medium-bodied, the palate possesses a moderately concentrated core of cut grass, nettles, passionfruit and herbs. The mouthfeel is brisk and zesty with racy acidity and the wine follows a fine-textured, dry line, leading to a light finish with nettle, herb and grassy nuances. This is a cooler spectrum, racy and zesty Sauvignon Blanc with a dry, fine-textured mouthfeel. Serve with salads and vegetables and herb-marinated seafood dishes over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Ward Valley Estate’ and lower Awatere, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.9 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Sep 2016 RRP $14.99
