Walnut Block ‘Collectables’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Feb-2017
Bright straw-yellow with slight green hues, near colourless on the edge. The nose is elegantly proportioned with softly concentrated and packed aromas of pungent passionfruit with piquant tropical fruit and fresh herbal elements, and hints of chalky minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses fresh and lively passionfruit flavours that form a positive core. The mouthfeel has some phenolic grip and fresh, mouthwatering acidity, lending a lively line. Flavours of tropical fruits and fresh herbs emerge, and the wine is carried by the textures to a dry finish of passionfruit. This is a fresh, lively, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with light, dry phenolic textures and line. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. The fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.9% alc. and 0.64 g/L RS. Certified BioGro organic. 17.5-/20 Feb 2017 RRP $20.00
