Fruit from the ‘Waipipi Homestead Vineyard’ indigenous yeast barrel-fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 10% new oak with 30% MLF. Bright, even, light golden-hued straw-yellow colour. This has a softly full and gentle nose with moderately deep and harmonious aromas of citrus fruit and yellow stonefruits forming a smooth core with creamy and nutty barrel-ferment flavours. Some toasty oak and butterscotch MLF adds up-front detail. The mouthfeel is soft and the wine follows a gently textured line with light acid liveliness. The wine carries to a soft, fading mellow finish. This is a soft, light citrussy and stonefruity Chardonnay with subtly up-front creamy and toasty oak, with butter MLF flavours.
