Waipara Valley Wines ‘Lot Two’ Waipara Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 08-Mar-2018
Bright straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is full with aromas of greengages and green stonefruits along with a layering of green beans, showing secondary development. The aromatics are up-front and accessible. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a soft and rounded core with light flavours of greengages and savoury green stonefruits and secondary green bean notes, unfolding dark herb and lantana detail. The mouthfeel is softly textured and the wine flows easily with soft acidity carrying the flavours to a moderately concentrated, lingering finish. This is a rounded Sauvignon Blanc with flavours of savoury green stonefruits and developed bean notes on a soft, easy palate. Match with Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months to 2 years. Fruit from a Georges Road site, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. 16.0/20 Mar 2018 RRP $14.99
