Ruby-red colour with some depth and slight purple hues. The nose is fresh and bright with fragrant aromas of dark-red cherry and raspberry fruit with subtle dark herb elements. This is vibrant and primary in expression, and reveals some liquorice nuances with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate is rich and sweet with juicy flavours of red cherries and dark raspberries, lifted by red florals and entwined with liquorice and bitter herb detail. The fruit is upfront and the primary lift is enhanced by fine, crisp acidity. Light, supple tannins lend structure, and the wine carries with good energy to a fruity finish. This is an up-front, primary fruited Pinot Noir with juicy cherry and raspberry fruit, good acidity and a light grip. Match with pasta, poultry and pork over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from Georges Road, hand-picked and indigenous yeast fermented, the wine aged 10 months in seasoned oak. 16.5+/20 Mar 2018 RRP $24.99
