Waipara Hills Waipara Valley Pinot Noir Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 14-Nov-2017
Bright, light salmon-peach pink colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and gently voluminous with a core of quince and cranberry fruit and savoury, mouthwatering red floral nuances.. Dry to taste, the palate has soft, rich flavours of savoury quince and cranberries, with red floral elements. The fruit forms a softly concentrated heart with lacy acidity providing good energy and crispness. The flavours flow smoothly along a light-textured line, leading to a lingering finish of quince and strawberry elements. This is a soft, rich-fruited dry rosé with savoury quince, cranberry and strawberry flavours on a smooth, but refreshing palate. Match with antipasto and tapas over the next 18 months to 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Kimball’ and ‘Home’ blocks given 12 hours skin contact and fermented to 12.0% alc., and 8.0 g/L RS, the wine aged several weeks on lees. 16.5/20 Nov 2017 RRP $21.90
