Waipara Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Jan-2014
Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The nose is fresh and finely expressed with tightly bound and restrained aromas of passionfruit, citrus fruits and some gooseberry elements. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the fruit flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries are harmoniously entwined forming a balanced and complete core. The mouthfeel is smooth and poised with an attractive balance. The fruit has sweetness with refreshing acidity carrying the flavours evenly and easily along the palate line to a bright, lively, and gently nuanced, mouthwatering finish. This is a light and elegant Sauvignon Blanc with an attractive balance and freshness. Serve as an aperitif, with canapés and antipasto over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, cool-fermented to 13.33% alc. and 2.7 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Jan 2014 RRP $21.99
