Waimea Estates Nelson ‘Classic’ Riesling 2008

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 15-Apr-2011
Brilliant straw-golden yellow in colour, this has a light, fresh bouquet of citrus fruits with subtle, savoury, toasty secondary aromas. Medium-off dry to taste, this is elegant and fine on palate with restrained flavours of citrus fruit, flowers, honey and hints of toast with minerals. The textures are soft and creamy, the fruit sweetness and lusciousness well countered by good, crisp acidity, which carries to the finish. Fruit from the ‘Annabrook' and ‘Hunter' vineyards cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 21.8 g/L rs. Drink as an aperitif or match with Asian cuisine over the next 4-5 years. 18.0+/20 Apr 2011 RRP $20.00
