Volcanic Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Mar-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. The nose is softly full and with good volume, showing aromas of green capsicums, fresh herbs and some secondary bean-like notes appearing. Dry to taste with good weight, restrained flavours of limes, capsicums and green beans form a luscious and sweet core. Aromatic flora and tropical nuances emerge in the glass. The acidity and fruit sweetness provides a mouthwatering palate, which is underlined by a faint, textural thread, carrying the flavours to a dry, moderately lingering finish with an acid zestiness. This is a dry Sauvignon Blanc with luscious and mouthwatering flavours, now beginning to show some secondary development. Serve with Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months. Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 5.7 g/L rs. 16.5+/20 Mar 2013 RRP $20.50
