Vista Nelson Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 25-May-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with a slight blush, lighter on rim. The nose is initially tight and firm, with elegant aromas of white stonefruits along with nuances of florals, herbs and minerals, the aromatics refreshing and mouthwatering. With aeration the nose open in volume a breath showing an array of soft florals. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, a little alcohol underlines the palate. Light flavours of white and yellow stonefruits show with some richness, revealing nuances of florals, herbs and minerals. A core of stonefruit kernels and honeysuckle flows a light textured line enlivened by crisp, balancing acidity leading to a light, clean finish. This is an elegant dryish Pinot Gris with stonefruit flavours and florals, following a positive, fresh line. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the ‘Vista’ vineyard, fermented in stainless-steel to 14.5% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Dec 2015 RRP $18.00
