Vine and Sea Blanc de Blanc Brut Cuvee NV

Sparkling Wine from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 05-Jul-2016
Bright straw-yellow with lemon-green hues, lighter on the edge, the bubbles very fine and moderately persistent. The bouquet is very fresh with aromas of white and yellow stonefruits along with subtle waxy and lanolin notes, nutty elements and fresh herbs. The nose is fruit focussed, uncomplicated and shows intensity. Dry to taste, the palate is tight and light, with clean, refreshing effervescence enhancing the delicate citrus fruit flavours. Lifted floral notes add interest. The wine flows positively, enlivened by bright acidity, with the flavours receding as the palate leads to a firm, dry, fine-textured finish. This is a clean, light, refreshingly dry sparkling with lively citrus flavours. Serve as an aperitif over the next 18 months – 2 years. 85% Chardonnay, 10% Semillon and 5% Muscat Gordo from 55% Limestone Coast and 45% Riverland, fermented in tank to 12.0% alc. and 8 g/L RS, the wine carbonated.
