Vincent Girardin Santenay 1er Cru ‘Le Beauregard’ Blanc 2007

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 07-Jul-2011
Bright lemon-straw yellow in colour, this has a lovely, Ewell-proportioned bouquet with fine, ripe stonefruit and nutty Chardonnay aromas with reductive complexities and spicy, toasty oak, all in balance and harmony. An elegant wine, but with excellent depth, this is very fine-grained and tightly constructed, with intense citrus, flinty and mineral flavours along with nutty, toasty components, now beginning to come together. The long and sustained finish is a highlight. A classically dimensioned white burgundy that will develop and cellar well over the next 5-6 years.  Jul 2011
