Vincent Girardin Pommard ‘Les Noizons’ 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 24-Mar-2012
Dark, deep, ruby-red colour, youthful in appearance. This has a full, solid nose with depth and intensity, showing dark berry fruits and earthy notes, with hints of meat and game, suggestions of brett? Full-bodied, rich and lush, this is solid in presentation, very Pommard and masculine, but with fleshiness. The tannins are fine and supple, and fresh acidity enlivens the fruitiness that is prominent through the palate line. A sweet-fruited and open wine, some savoury, game interest and complexity is present. This will keep 7-8+ years easily.  18.5-/20  Mar 2012  RRP $69.00
