Vincent Girardin Pommard 1er ‘Grands Epenots’ 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 24-Mar-2012
Full, deep and dark hearted ruby-red in colour, this has a solid and densely packed nose of ripe, inky black berry fruits, with black and violet florals lifting the bouquet. Fairly full-bodied, rich and lusciously fruity with ripe black and dark red berry fruit flavours, the sweetness is matched by significant tannin extraction. The wine is mouthfilling in presence, yet not overly firm or broad, with good tension underlying the palate. The finish is sustained, with fruit and oak nuances showing good balance. This will keep 8-10 years.   18.5+/20  Mar 2012  RRP $99.00
