Vincent Girardin Meursault 1er ‘Charmes Dessus’ 2009

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 08-Dec-2011
Bright light golden-straw colour with a pale edge, this has a fine, tightly bound nose with ripe tropical fruit and mealy, nutty notes, along with toasty, vanillin oak aromas a major component showing. Full-bodied, with bold citrussy fruit and creamy barrel-ferment flavours, the palate has a little grip and structure evident providing some dryness. The acidity is discreet, and a little flinty reduction noted. The finish is long. One to enjoy over the next 4-5+ years.  Dec 2011  RRP $99.00
