Vinas del Vero ‘La Miranda de Secastilla’ Garnarcha Blanca 2011

Other White from Spain
Review Date : 13-Jul-2013
Light yellow colour with slight hints of gold. The bouquet is softly full with ripe, oil tinged acacia and white stonefruit aromatics with good intensity. Dry to taste, this is powerful and fulsome with some alcoholic generosity combining with white stonefruit and nutty elements along with a suggestion of minerals. The acidity is soft, but there is an underlying tension. The palate has a building richness and breadth, and the finish is a little flat in the final analysis. This is an intriguing wine with warm varietal elements and breadth given a lift from the growing altitude. Probably one to drink early, say 3-4 years. 14.0% alc., the wine aged 3 months in oak. 17.5-/20 Jun 2013 RRP $27.95
