Villa Sandi Piave Pinot Grigio DOC 2009

Pinot Gris from Italy - Veneto
Review Date : 10-Feb-2011
Pale straw-yellow with a light edge to the colour, this has a clean and fresh, waxy bouquet of stonefruits, minerals and nuts. Dry and softly textured on the palate, this wine has good weight and a degree of presence that many Pinot Grigio wines lack. The nutty, stonefruit flavours have a delicate sweetness, and the acidity level is not high, allowing the wine to finish with a easy flow. Villa Sandi is a renowned wine producer with a classic range of still and sparkling wines. The Pinot Grigio fruit is from the Piave area in the province of Treviso in Veneto, fermented to 12.5% alc. and 6.0 g/l rs, and given lees contact. Serve with seafood, cold meats and soft cheeses over the next 3 years. 18.0-/20 Feb 2011 RRP $26.99
