Villa Maria ‘Single Vineyard – Taylors Pass’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Nov-2015
Very pale straw with slight green hues, near colourless. The nose is very tightly bound and refined with aromas of passionfruit, nettles and cut grass, along with a soft, mouthwatering steeliness. A subtle waxy lanolin note and piquant herbs emerge. This is elegantly luscious, with lifted aromatic fruit, showing gooseberries, florals and limes. The mouthfeel and textures are very fine, and the acid balance is brilliant, adding to the fruit richness while lending a thirst quenching finish. Fruit from the ‘Taylors Pass’ Awatere vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 3.1 g/L RS. 18.5+/20 Nov 2015 RRP $29.99
