Villa Maria ‘Private Bin Light’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Sep-2014
Bright, very pale straw-green, near colourless on rim. This has a tightly bound, slender nose with gooseberry, grass and nettle aromas harmoniously interwoven, showing good intensity and depth. Dry to taste and light-bodied, fresh, cool-spectrum flavours of gooseberries, green capsicums and nettles form a soft textured core. The mouthfeel is smooth and slippery, and enlivened by refreshing acidity. Herb, grassy and nettle-like notes build and are carried by the acidity to a crisp, dry-textured, lingering finish. This is a light, smooth-textured, slippery Sauvignon Blanc with refreshing grassy and nettle-like flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months to 2 years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 9.0% alc. and 5.5 g/L RS. 16.0/20 Sep 2014 RRP $15.99
