Vigna Nuova Prosecco Treviso DOC Brut NV

Sparkling Wine from Italy - Veneto
Review Date : 25-Feb-2013
100% Glera fruit from vines 18 y.o. on average from the Montello district, fermented to 11.0% alc. and 9 g/L rs. Bright lemon-green hued straw colour with moderate bead and persistence. This has a soft, fresh, voluminous nose of apples, stonefruits and citrus fruits with some herb nuances, the aromatics up-front and accessible. Dryish to taste, soft and frothy effervescence marks the entry, leading to a good core of apple, herb and stonefruit flavours. The palate has positive drive and linearity with a soft, rounded mouthfeel and gentle acidity. The finish is light and clean, with flavours that dissipate gently. This is a soft and up-front Prosecco with gentle apple-like flavours and a clean finish. Serve as an aperitif over the next 18 months to 2 years. 16.5/20 Feb 2013 RRP $16.80
