Vidigal ‘Porta 6’ Lisboa 2015

Blended Red from Portugal
Review Date : 15-Mar-2017
Dark, deep, near impenetrable black-hued purple-red colour, very youthful in appearance. The nose is softly full and voluminous with aromas of ripe blackberries and boysenberry fruit with slight blueberry jam notes entwined with subtle herb elements. Fullish-bodied, this is sweetly rich and ripe with juicy and succulent flavours of blackberries and boysenberry fruit along with jammy notes. The fruit is supported by supple, light extraction providing light tannin grip and gentle textures, the integrated acidity the fruit softness and richness. The sweet flavours carry along a smooth line to a light, lusciously ripe-fruited finish. This is an up-front, sweet, juicy and ripe Lisboa red with flavours of blackberries, boysenberries and jam of a smooth palate. Serve at barbecues and with grilled and roasted red meats over the next 3 years. A blend of 50% Aragones (Tempranillo), 40% Castelao and 10% Touriga Nacional from Lisboa, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. 17.0+/20 Mar 2017 RRP $19.95
