Veuve D’Argent Cuvee Prestige Blanc De Blancs Brut NV, France

Sparkling Wine from France - Other
Review Date : 28-Mar-2023
Bright, even, pale yellow. The bubbles are moderately fine and consistent. The nose is softly full, greeted with apple, pear and stonefruit, subtle floral and a touch of creaminess. Medium-bodied, creamy mousse filled the palate, displaying apple, pear and apricot melded with apple blossom and a slight creaminess lingering on the finish. The fruit shows ripeness with fair acidity; hints of creamy autolysis contribute to mouthfeel and weight. This Blanc de Blancs shows pure fruit expression with a light creamy touch and refreshing finish. Serve as an aperitif or match with fish fingers over the next 2-3 years. Predominantly Chardonnay, natural fermentation in vats, 11.5% alc, 10 g/l dosage, aged for a minimum of 3 months. 16/20 pts (80 pts) Mar 2023 RRP $22
