Umani Ronchi ‘Serrano’ Rosso Conero DOC 2014

Montepulciano from Italy - Other
Review Date : 05-Oct-2015
85% Montepulciano and 15% Sangiovese from Osimo and Ancona in Marche, Conero, given a cold soak and fermented to 13.0% alc. Bright, dark, ruby-red colour with light purple hues. The nose is light and fresh with fragrant and aromatic red berry fruit aromas lifted by red florals and some confectionary whole berry fermentation notes. This is easy and accessible and reveals subtle herb suggestions in the glass. Light-medium bodied, sweet and juicy aromatic red cherry and berry fruit flavours show with floral and confectionary notes. This is fruit-focussed with light extraction lending a soft-textured line. The mouthfeel is lush and lively with fresh acidity carrying the fruit to a clean, bright, aromatic finish. This is a light and juicy Rosso Conero with aromatic red cherry and floral fruit with fresh acidity. Serve with antipasto, charcuterie and tapas over the next 2+ years. 16.0/20 Oct 2015 RRP $21.99
