Two Tails Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Sep-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with intense aromas of gooseberry fruit entwined with mouthwatering minerally notes, revealing passionfruit and nettle-like nuances with aeration. Dry to taste, medium-bodied and elegant in proportion, precise fruit flavours of white stonefruits, gooseberries and minerals follow a very fine-textured palate line. The fruit freshness is enhanced by excellent acid cut which provides poise, balance and linear drive. The wine carries to a crisp, lingering, very dry finish with mineral and gooseberry notes. This is a tightly bound, dry, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with thirst-quenching minerally flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with shellfish over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the Central Wairau Valley, a portion hand-picked, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 1.4 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Sep 2014 RRP $21.95
