Two Tails Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-May-2014
Brilliant, very pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. The bouquet is soft and delicately fresh with aromas of gooseberry fruit, fresh herbs and cut grass entwined harmoniously with mouthwatering mineral and flinty notes. The nose builds in depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours of gooseberries, white florals and aromatic herbs are smoothly integrated and discreetly fills the palate. The mouthfeel is balanced with gentle acidity lending liveliness, and refined textures forming a positive core. The palate flows seamlessly with succulence and a fine phenolic line guides the wine to a light, subtly textured finish. This is a harmonious, smooth and gently mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with aromatic herbal flavours. Match with salads, vegetables and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from hillside vineyards in the Fairhall district of the Southern Valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.2 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 May 2014 RRP $21.95
