Two Tails Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Jul-2013
Bright pale straw colour, lighter on rim. The bouquet softly full and deep with mouthwatering aromas of gooseberry fruit harmoniously interwoven with mineral notes. Dry to taste, an amalgam of gooseberry and mineral flavours shows with good depth and presence. The palate has a fine textural thread with discreet acidity enhancing the smooth flow. There is an underlying richness balancing the thirst-quenching freshness, and the flavours are carried to a long, dry and chalky finish. This is a soft-textured, smooth and mouth-wateringly dry Sauvignon Blanc. Match with seafood, poultry, salads and vegetables over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from elevated north-facing vineyards in clay gravels over river stones, in the Southern Valleys, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 1.8 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Jul 2013 RRP $21.95
