Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is gently full, lifted and perfumed with aromas of crunchy Nashi pear, citrus peels and blossom. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, aromas of Nashi pear, apple skins and lemon rind melded with pear blossom and five-spice. The palate is pristine, crisp and lightly oily with subtle apple skin texture and citrus oil; supported by refreshing acidity and brings a spicy finish. This dry Pinot Gris with flavours of crunchy pear, blossom and spice linger to linearity. Match with pulled pork tacos and sardines over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from 80% Awatere Valley and 20% Wairau Valley, fermented cool in stainless steel to 12.5% alc, 5.5g/l RS, aged on light lees for 4 months. Vegan friendly. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Oct 2022 RRP $25
