Two Rivers ‘Convergence’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Nov-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is elegant in proportion with fine depth and intensity of tightly bound aromas of passionfruit, white florals, nuances of fresh herbs and cut grass, unfolding subtle notes of fermentation esters and mineral elements. This has delicacy of expression. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant in expression with tightly bound flavours of passionfruit, white florals, green stonefruits, along with nuances of herbs and cut grass. The flavours are stylish and balanced by fresh, lacy acidity, and the wine carries smoothly with good energy along a refined line, leading to a soft, sustained finish of passionfruit, herbs and minerals. This is an elegant, tightly-bound Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, florals, herbs and cut grass flavours on a refined palate. It will blossom over the next 2 years. Serve with Pacific Rim fare. Fruit from the ‘Richmond Brook, ‘ Starborough Farms’, ‘Dew’ and ‘Hagen’ vineyards, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.4 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on lees. 9,000 cases made. 18.0+/20 Nov 2017 RRP $24.00
