Two Rivers ‘Convergence’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 01-Nov-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. This has a refined and gently concentrated nose of ripe passionfruit packed with aromas of tropical fruits, lifted herbs and minerals. This has intensity and elegant proportions and is quite complete. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a tightly concentrated core with great depth and density of ripe passionfruit, herbs and minerals. Tropical fruit notes unfold, and the flavours are layered, revealing detail. The wine has soft, fine textures and, balanced acid tension, lending vitality to the power and drive. The concentrated line carries to a very ling, dry, lingering finish of passionfruit and minerals. This is a tightly concentrated, powerfully linear and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with flavours of passionfruit and minerals. Serve with seafood and Mediterranean fare over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the ‘Collyns’, ‘Rylands’, ‘Richmond Brook’ and ‘Starborough Farms’ sites in the Awatere, Southern Valleys and Rapaura districts, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.1 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on lees. 6,000 cases made. 19.0-/20 Oct 2015 RRP $24.00
