Two Paddocks ‘The Last Chance’ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 05-Feb-2014
Full, even, dark ruby-red colour with some garnet hues. The nose is full, soft and voluminous with intense and deep black berry fruit aromas infused with strong charry oak and hints of possible reduction complexities. The flavours are bold and fulsome on palate, with great concentration and depth. Sweet black fruits, oak toastiness, savoury stalk and dark herbs meld into a powerful array that fills the palate. The mouthfeel is fresh with bright acidity, and soft, fine-grained tannins lie under the fruit and flavours. This is a statement wine in flavour, but very refined and lively in mouthfeel with excellent sweetness. The charry oaking appears dominant. 5-6+ years. Winemaker: Dean Shaw. 18.5-/20 Jan 2014 RRP $N/A
