Two Paddocks ‘Picnic’ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 09-Mar-2011
Made from around 80% Alexandra, 10% Gibbston and 10% Cromwell Basin fruit, a selection of younger vine material included, incorporating approx. 20-25% whole bunch, fermented to 13.5% alc. The wine spent 11 months in 30% new French oak. Pale ruby-garnet red in colour, this has a nose of soft red fruits and dried herbs. Though a modestly fruited wine on palate, the wine shows good ripeness, a vibrancy, and freshness, the tannins in good proportion. Well-made and very drinkable over the next 2-4 years.  Mar 2011
