Two Degrees Central Otago Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 25-Sep-2014
Moderately deep, purple-hued pink colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is fine and tightly held with aromas of cherry fruit with raspberry and cream notes, lifted with red floral perfumes. This has a refreshing, steely, minerally note to the aromatics. Off-dry to taste, luscious and fruity, focussed flavours of cherry and raspberry fruit feature on the palate with a firm core. The fruit is aromatic and lifted with red florals, and enlivened by bright, thirst-quenching acidity. Refined textures and lacy acidity provide cut and linearity, carrying the wine to a long, sustained finih with flavours of raspberries and cream. This is a tightly held, lusciously fruity and mouthwatering off-dry rosé with raspberry and cream flavours. Serve as an aperitif with antipasto and on the veranda on a sunny day over the next 2 years. Hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Two Degrees’ vineyard, Queensberry, given 48 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.35% alc. and 7.2 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Sep 2014 RRP $24.95
