Twin Islands Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Dec-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, very pale on rim. The nose is fresh with light and softly concentrated aromas of pungent passionfruit with some tropical fruit detail and mouthwatering mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, fresh gooseberry and passionfruit flavours are carried by soft, chalky textures which lend a dry, thirst-quenching mouthfeel. The palate is refreshing, clean and balanced with bright, integrated acidity, and the wine flows to a soft, light finish with lively fruit notes. This is a fresh, soft-textured, pure fruited, light Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with salads and vegetables, and antipasto over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 2.6 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Dec 2014 RRP $18.90
