Tussock Nelson Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 30-Apr-2014
Straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is restrained in fruit expression, with subtle yellow stonefruit aromas and fine honeysuckle and mineral nuances, the nose showing good vinous presence with growing volume. Dry to taste, light flavours of stonefruits form good, weighty core with honeysuckle, mineral and nutty hints unfolding. There is good mouthfeel with a roundness balanced by fresh acidity, and the palate flows with vitality along a fine, textural line, leading to a soft, dry finish. This is a subtle, stonefruit and honey flavoured, dry Pinot Gris with good mouthfeel and vinosity. Serve as an aperitif, with antipasto and poultry over the next 3-4 years. Hand-picked fruit WBP, and indigenous yeast fermented in stainless-steel with 10% in seasoned puncheons to 13.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. Certified BioGro organic. 17.0+/20 Apr 2014 RRP $19.00
