Tussock Heights ‘Single Vineyard’ Awatere Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Sep-2012
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with some lemon hues, pale on rim. This has a dense and firm nose with up-front grassy, gooseberry fruit notes in the cooler spectrum. Dry to taste, this is tightly packed with linear fruit flavours of grass and gooseberries, the palate with good weight and depth. The acidity is restrained with balanced, carrying through to a dry, gently zesty finish. This is a straightforward grassy Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of weight and presence. Serve with most seafood and poultry dishes, and with vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Awatere Valley, cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 5.0 g/L rs, the wine spending one month on lees. 16.5-/20 Sep 2012 RRP $20.00
