Turanga Creek ‘Down To Earth’ Nelson Pinot Noir 2011

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 25-Jan-2013
Moderately deep, dark ruby-red colour with light purple hues. This has a fine and tightly bound, concentrated nose of dark cherry fruit and raspberries with notes of cinnamon spices, raspberry confectionary and musk. Medium-bodied and elegant in proportion, concentrated, bright, dark raspberry fruit and spicy notes are supported by crisp, lacy acidity and light tannins forming a palate with good linear drive. This is well structured and the flavours flow with fine textures to a dry, fruity finish. This is a well-structured, raspberry-fruited Pinot Noir with freshness to match poultry and pork dishes over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from a vineyard in Nelson in conversion to organic certification by BioGro. 13.5% alc. 17.0/20 Jan 2013 RRP $22.00
