Turanga Creek Auckland Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Northland & Auckland
Review Date : 23-Aug-2011
Pale straw-yellow colour with a pale edge, this has a fresh, lively nose of white stonefruits with notes of pears and spices with a floral lift. Dryish to taste, this show attractive, delicately sweet floral-infused stonefruit and spiced pear flavours on a crisp, steely textured palate. The linear expression allows a little alcohol to show, with the fruit being restrained on finish. 100% Pinot Gris from the Turanga Creek' vineyard fermented to 14.0% alc. and dryness, given 6 weeks lees stirring. A subtle-flavoured Pinot Grigio style with good weight. Match with seafood and antipasto over the next 2-3 years. 300 cases made. 16.5-/20 Aug 2011 RRP $18.90
