Tupari Boulder Rows Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 05-Apr-2022
Bright, pale straw yellow with a slight green hue, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full and harmonious, with aromas of passionfruit, lemon & its rind, underlying subtle smoke, spice and a creamy layer. Medium-bodied, aromas released on the palate, grilled pineapple, passionfruit entwined with lemon and grapefruit zest, delicate spice lifted on the finish, unveiling a touch of nutty development. Salivating acidity persists on a creamy mouthfeel, filling the palate with freshness. This gracefully developed Sauvignon Blanc with bright tropical fruit, integrated barrel-fermented details, and taut acid drive on a creamy textured mouthfeel. Match with hazelnut-crusted halibut and baked camembert now or over the next 3 years. Fruit from Awatere Valley, barrel-fermented with selected yeasts to 13% alc, aged on full lees for 12 months. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Apr 2022 RRP $30
