Tupari Awatere Valley Marlborough Dry Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Dec-2013
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. The bouquet is fresh and elegantly concentrated with deep aromas of lime fruit entwined with white florals, unfolding soft nuances of honey and jasmine and mouthwatering mineral elements. Off-dry to taste, vibrantly sweet and up-front fruit flavours of limes and lemons grow to form a rounded and concentrated core and palate line. Subtly rich honeysuckle and jasmine nuances add some exotic detail. The mouthfeel is bright, lively and refreshing with good acid energy, and the flavours flow smoothly to a soft, lingering finish of citrus fruits and florals. This is a classical off-dry Riesling with soft acidity and exotic nuances to the lime and lemon fruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 4-5 years. Riesling fruit from vines from the top of the Tupari cliff face, fermented to 11.0% alc. and 8.0 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Dec 2013 RRP $27.00
