Tupari Awatere Valley Marlborough Dry Riesling 2012

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Jul-2014
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, light edged. The nose is elegant and delicate with subtle aromas of lime, toast, homey and cream, the fruit showing some secondary development, unfolding oxidative nutty nuances. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the flavours are a little shy, with lime fruit, minerals, toast and traces of oxidative complexities. The fruit follows a soft core and line, with gentle acidity providing subtle lift and liveliness. The wine leads to a light, mouthwatering, dry finish with honey and toast elements. This is a light, delicately flavoured dry Riesling showing some toasty development. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the cliff top site of the Tupari vineyard, fermented to 11.5% alc. and 7 g/L RS, TA 8.0 g/L. 16.5/20 Jul 2014 RRP $29.00
