Trout Valley Nelson Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 07-Oct-2012
A label for Kahurangi Estate. Pale straw yellow colour, this has classical aromas of ripe stonefruits with good depth and volume. Dryish to taste, the palate is full with bold flavours of ripe stonefruits with florals, honey and spices. This is rounded and mouthfilling. There is a little textural grip, but the fruit sweetness balances this. And some alcoholic heat comes through, adding to the generosity. Fruit from the Waimea gravels, fermented to 13.5% alc. and 9 g/L rs, the wine aged on lees. 18.5-/20 Oct 2012
