Bright, pale straw-yellow in colour, this has a soft, attractively perfumed nose of pears and stonefruits along with interesting spice and youthful esters elements. Dryish on palate, this is a light-bodied, well-balanced with gentle spiced stonefruit flavours, soft textures allied to good, refreshing acidity. This will be a good wine to serve with antipasto, seafood and lightly spiced Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Made from fruit from three sites on the Waimea Plains, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 6.0 g/L rs. 16.0/20 Jan 2011 RRP $15.50
