Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 10-Nov-2022
Bright, pale straw-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full, with sweet aromas of melon, peach and passionfruit underlying tomato vines and saline. Medium-light bodied, aromas of melon, peach and passionfruit interweave subtle herb and tomato vines and linger with fine spice and salinity. Sweet, ripe-flavoured fruit forms a round core; tangy, vibrant acidity provides balance and good energy, flowing with dusty phenolics left a silky mouthfeel. This elegant Sauvignon Blanc flows along a silky palate, shows generous fruit and tangy acid balance. Match with grilled snapper and tom yum noodles over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Mangatahi, fermented cool in stainless steel tank to 12.5% alc, 4.95 g/l RS. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Nov 2022 RRP $24.99
