Trinity Hill Pinot Gris 2022, Hawke’s Bay

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 12-Jan-2023
Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is gently full, with aromas of golden apple, quice and ripe pear alongside spice and deep floral notes. Full-bodied, dry to taste, golden apple, quince and pear aromas bounded by baking spices and rose petals. A weighty and oily mouthfeel flaunted with spices and ripe fruit, balanced acidity leaves a refreshing finish. This dry Pinot Gris is packed with primary flavours and lingering spices on a persistent, fleshy palate. Match with pulled pork tacos and chicken chow mein over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Woodstock Vineyard, Ohiti sub-region, some skin contact before pressed, fermented in old 500-litre French oak puncheons, 12.5% alc, 4.3 g/l RS. 17.5/20 pts (88 pts) Jan 2023 RRP $24.99
