Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 25-May-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with light green-golden hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh and up-front with an aromatic array of gooseberry fruit, green stonefruits, fresh herbs and suggestions of tropical fruit, unveiling a mouthwatering mineral and cut-grass edge. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses light, thirst-quenching flavours of gooseberries, cut grass and cool, fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is refreshing with a tight, very fine-textured line and brisk, racy acidity driving the wine to a zest, lingering finish of herbs, cut grass and minerals. This is a tightly bound, light, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with fresh flavours of gooseberries and cut grass, and a fine, dry-textured, zesty line. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from Raukawa, Porongahau and Mangatahi, fermented in stainless-steel with 20% in barriques to 12.2% alc. and 3.2. g/L RS, with most of the wine aged 8 months on lees. 16.5+/20 May 2016 RRP $20.00
