Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 18-Oct-2015
Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues. The nose is fresh with tightly concentrated and deep aromas of cut grass, nettles, green capsicums and piquant herbal notes, and a suggestion of green beans. This is fresh, brackish, and expressive of cooler-spectrum fruit. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is elegant in proportion with finely concentrated flavours of cut grass, nettles, gooseberries and fresh herbs. The fruit is underlined by brisk, racy acidity and the wine is guided by a soft, textural line. This is mouthwatering, with energy and drive, and the crisp acidity carries the wine to a thirst-quenching finish of grass and herbs. This is a brisk, thirst-quenching Sauvignon Blanc with concentrated, cooler spectrum fruit flavours. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from Ruakawa, Porongahau and Mangatahi, cool-fermented in stainless-steel with 10% in barriques to 11.2% alc. and 3.6 g/L RS, the wine aged 6 months on lees. 16.0+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $18.00
