Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 26-Jun-2014
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with light green hues, pale on rim. A full, even and broad nose of ripe tropical fruits unfolds gooseberry and pungent passionfruit aromas, with complexing savoury mineral and flinty nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, softly luscious and up-front flavours of pungent tropical fruits are intermixed with green capsicum and gooseberry notes. The fruit richness provides a round mouthfeel and soft core, and is balanced by slippery, cutting acidity. A textural line emerges to carry the palate to a light, dry finish. This is a softly luscious Sauvignon Blanc with lively flowing gooseberry and passionfruit flavours and a light, dry finish. Serve with seafood, salads, vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from Raukawa, Porongahau, Mangatahi and Bridge Pa, cool-fermented in stainless-steel with 10% in barriques to 12.0% alc. and 3.2 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Jun 2014 RRP $20.00
